Meet Jack

Jack Debnam is well known throughout Jackson County and the region because of his years of honest business dealings and his service to the community.

He is a past Chairman of the Jackson County Commissioners, the first “unaffiliated” Chair ever elected in the state of North Carolina.  His colleagues describe him as professional and competent, and 30 years of working in the mountains of Jackson County have given him a keen eye for land development. He knows grading and timber, road construction, and how to find that perfect tract of land for your dream home or land development and speculation.

His hobbies are landscaping, Western Carolina University athletics, practical jokes, travel, and golf. You’ll have to decide if he’s any good at jokes or golfing but he is certainly faithful to WCU and the Catamount Club. He’s a support of Boy Scouts, the Greenway Curve Board, and the NC Association of County Commissioners.

“I like to travel and have seen many parts of this world, but there’s nothing like coming home. From our beautiful golf courses and beautiful views to our two National Parks and four seasons, nothing beats the mountains of North Carolina.”
